The only good thing about this restaurant is the food. It's delicious, served hot, and reasonably priced. The servings are good too. The decor is dated and it lacks atmosphere. There is a gent who comes around to meet the customers, however he needs to look at his grooming! I had ordered a can drink and it was so slow to arrive at our table...I had to wait 15 minutes for it. They ran out of ice, this is a staple in any restaurant, so we had to wait. When it arrived, it was served in a glass and promptly melted within minutes. So disappointed. However, the food was good.....

I've eaten fish dishes at the beach side restaurants in Cavelossim, where the staff remember your name and favourite beer, but can't recall eating a Goan Fish Curry like the one I enjoyed with two Premium Kingfishers at Essence of India. Deliciously spicey with enough heat to make my head sweat. A steady stream of takeaway orders but not many dine ins, so a great opportunity to come and sample the wide menu. I'll be back, though I live over 100 km away.

Raj always goes out of his way to make sure you are enjoying the food. Will try to accommodate any special request. Chicken tikka is the best and made with chicken breast. Curries are always tasty. Raj cooks and oversees all orders. Top food .. try it!

Had very enjoyable evening with family here. Everyone absolutely enjoyed the food which was very tasty and flavoursome, great portion size and well presented. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Definitely recommend.

A long time between visits but today the food was not just good but outstanding. Tast, great portions and attentive service. Highly recommended. The chef owner works so hard and meets and greets, cooks with one waitress. We will definitely be back. Great to support a local business.
